Help Give Greenville County’s History a Permanent Home
Greenville’s story is still being written. With your support, it will not be forgotten.
The Greenville County Historical Society has launched the Home for History Campaign to preserve Greenville County’s past, expand public access to our collections, and strengthen the Society for its next century of service.
For nearly a century, the Society has protected the photographs, records, maps, manuscripts, family papers, and stories that help our community understand where it came from and where it is going. Now, with our new home at 644 East Washington Street, we have a rare opportunity to make that history more visible, more accessible, and more useful to the public.
Why Your Gift Matters
Every year, pieces of Greenville’s history are at risk. Photographs fade. Family papers are discarded. Historic places disappear. Stories are lost before they are recorded.
Your gift helps us act before that happens.
With your support, the Society can:
- Preserve and digitize fragile collections
- Welcome researchers, students, families, and visitors
- Expand lectures, exhibits, tours, publications, and school programs
- Document historic places across Greenville County
- Build the staff, technology, and financial foundation needed for long-term impact
A Gift to the Future
A gift to the Greenville County Historical Society is a commitment to the people, places, and stories that shaped this community.
It is not simply a donation to preserve the past. It is an investment in a stronger, more connected Greenville, one that understands its history and carries it forward with care.
Make your gift today and help give Greenville County’s history a home.
