The 30th Infantry Division (“Old Hickory”) that trained at Camp Sevier in Greenville broke through the Hindenburg Line on September 29, 1918 determining the outcome of WWI. Camp Sevier covered approximately 2,000 acres along the southeast slope of Paris Mountain.
