Built on East North Street in 1958, the Greenville Memorial Auditorium was designed by Cunningham & Walker, Architects, and dedicated to the men and women of Greenville who, in time of war, gave their service and lives to defend freedom. The multi-purpose arena had seats for 7,500 spectators and was host to concerts, conventions, sporting events and circuses. It was imploded in 1997.
