Wilkins House Stained Glass Ornament

One of Greenville's great preservation success stories

William Wilkins purchased 93 acres of land on Augusta Street in 1876. Here he built an elegant Italianate mansion complete with Conservatory, stables, and peacocks on the grounds. The two story brick home with a third story tower quickly became a landmark. The home was moved in 2015 around the corner to Mills Avenue where it has been restored and is in use as a private residence with periodic public openings.
