The Elrod Collection was acquired by the Historical Society in 2011 and is comprised of approximately 1,000 photographs. Henry Elrod (1920-1997) maintained his studio on S. Main Street for over 40 years and spent his days out in the community taking aerial photographs and photographing landscapes, architectural points of interest, revival and tent meetings, and advertisements. The Historical Society is pleased to have Henry Elrod’s work preserved in its archives.
