General Sessions cases tried in court for the area of current-day Greenville County, covering the period 1787 to 1799, just after the county’s official establishment. Cases for the western section of current Greenville County fall under the Washington District, created a little later, in 1791, from former Cherokee lands. (Washington District encompassed the western section of current Greenville County, along with Anderson and Pickens counties.) Pub date: 1994.
